CE+T Power is really excited to announce that Google and their competition partners the IEEE have selected their proposed inverter solution as a finalist in the Google Little Box Challenge.1 Million dollars is at stake.
A SME in the global race for high power technology
The Little Box Challenge competition launched a global call to shrink a classical inverter down to something smaller than a small laptop, with a power density of 50 W/in3 or greater; the smallest solution will win.
In fact, the solution described in CE+T’s Report, nicknamed “Effy”, is a clear improvement on the Google 50 W per cubic inch requirement.
Effy’s technical report has been submitted to Google last July. Now selected among 18 other solutions, it will be presented to Google at the National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL) in Golden, Colorado, USA on October 21st. The winner will be known in January 2016.
